Inquiry into the Social and Economic Costs of Problem Gambling
The Treasurer released the Commission’s final report: Counting the Cost: Inquiry into the Costs of Problem Gambling, and the Government’s response on 9 September 2013.
The inquiry commenced in June 2012, when the Victorian Treasurer announced that the Commission would undertake an inquiry into the social and economic costs of problem gambling. On 14 December 2012 the Commission presented the Treasurer with its final report: Counting the Cost: Inquiry into the Costs of Problem Gambling.
A total of 40 submissions were received and a roundtable and meetings were held with interested parties. The Commission would like to thank everyone who participated.
