- Inquiries conducted by the Commission are determined by the Treasurer, in consultation with other Ministers.
- The inquiries process starts once the Treasurer sends the terms of reference to the Commission.
- The terms of reference outline the scope of the inquiry and the process of the inquiry, such as whether it will be a public inquiry and the reporting timeframe.
- The Commission prepares a draft report for public comment before finalising its report.
