Inquiry into managing transport congestion
The inquiry on Managing Transport Congestion is now completed.
The inquiry commenced on 14 September 2005 when the Victorian Treasurer, John Brumby, announced that the VCEC would undertake an inquiry into Managing Transport Congestion.
The inquiry received a number of submissions from interested parties. In April 2006 the Commission released a draft report for consultative purposes.
Following the receipt of a second round of submissions and after further consultation took place with key stakeholders, the Commission submitted its final report to the Treasurer on 14 September 2006.
The Treasurer released the final report (and the Government response) to the public on 14 March 2007.
