Alice Williams

Alice Williams was appointed as a Commissioner in 2004. Alice has had more than 20 years experience in senior management and board-level positions. She is currently on the Board of Airservices Australia, State Trustees Limited, V/Line Passenger Corporation, the Cancer Council of Victoria and the Australia Foundation. She has also served on the Australian Accounting Standards Board, the Western Health Board and been Chair of the Wheat Marketing Review Panel.

Her private consulting work for the Commonwealth Government and for public and private companies includes advisory services on strategic and business planning, debt restructuring, equity fundraising, due diligence and regulatory affairs including competition policy.

Alice has worked at senior levels for a number of Australian and international investment banks including NM Rothschild & Sons, JP Morgan and Citibank (NA). She was also Director of Strategy and Planning for Ansett Australia.

Alice advises both large and small businesses and brings broad commercial experience to the Commission.
