Inquiry into Shared Facilities

 Inquiry into Shared Facilities
  • In December 2008, the Victorian Treasurer, John Lenders, directed the Commission to undertake an inquiry into the sharing of government and community facilities in Victoria.
  • The inquiry received a number of submissions from interested parties. In June 2009, the Commission released a draft report for consultative purposes.
  • Following the receipt of a second round of submissions and after further consultation, the Commission submitted its final report to the Treasurer on 14 September 2009.
  • As specified in the Commission's Order in Council of 1 July 2004, the Treasurer should publicly release the inquiry final report and a response to the final report within six months of receiving it from the Commission.
  • Once the Treasurer has released the final report to the public, it will be made available on the Commission's website: www.vcec.vic.gov.au.
  • For more information, please contact Ms Deborah Cocks (administration officer) on ph: (03) 9092 5800 or Mr Andrew Walker (other matters) 9092 5830.
